2025 DONATION DRIVE
Please help by making donations to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center to make Summer a little easier for local families.
We all know how important it is to have support at home when school is out for the season. The MLK Center helps local families by providing childcare and preschool year-round, and summer camp throughout the summer months.
Let’s come together to support our littlest Newporter’s and the working families who rely on the MLK Center for childcare and early education.
Our goal is to raise $79,200 to fund the center’s programs for the summer—and every bit helps:
- $50 provides a week of lunch and snacks
- $170 covers a week of preschool – including breakfast, lunch, snack, and high quality early learning and creative play
- $1,360 sponsors 8 weeks of summer for one student
